15th February Stable News

So a busy weekend racing coming up, I thought I would do a write up now, probably won’t get chance later.
First of all I would like to say, it is great to have racing back on and I completely agree that the BHA and veterinary panel have acted sensibly and did not over react, I agree with all the things that are being put in place in terms of booster vaccinations etc. Trainers were warned previously about case in Europe that have been found in the last few months and were advised then about booster vaccinations. I don think we have heard the last of it either, especially outside racing. It is not the same as the cough and colds we get each year in racing yards. So anyway positive thinking and excitement to be back on track and looking forward to the rest of the jump season ahead !!
Tomorrow we have two runners at Ascot. Didtheyleaveyououtto runs in the3:20 Ascot16 FEB 2019 ITV 1m7½f (1m7f152y) Betfair Hurdle (Handicap) (Grade 3) (Class 1) (4yo+). William Kennedy takes the ride for J.P. McManus. Hopefully the ground will suit him and not be too soft and we know he likes the track. So fingers crossed for a big run from him.
We then have “Mystic Dreamer” for the Nick Gifford Racing Club. She is running in the 5:00 Ascot
16 FEB 2019 RTV 1m7½f (1m7f152y) British EBF Mares’ Standard Open National Hunt Flat Race (Qualifier For The EBF Mares’ NHF Series) (Class 4) (4-6yo). William Kennedy will take the ride again. It looks like a hot bumper with P2P winners in and also bumper winners. However we need to start somewhere and she needs the run for experience. We will learn a lot more about her after today.
On Sunday we have four runners. We have “Fairway Freddy” going to Market Rasen to run in the 3:15 Market Rasen17 FEB 2019 RTV 2m½f (2m148y) Market Rasen Town Council Handicap Hurdle (Class 3) (4yo+ 0-130). Rex Dingle takes the ride , he won his last two races on him. This will be a step up for him, we are really looking forward to see him run again.
We also have three runners at Huntingdon. Paddy’s Poem runs in the 2:00 Huntingdon17 FEB 2019
RTV 2m½f (2m104y) MansionBet Chase (A Novices’ Limited Handicap) (Class 4) (5yo+ 0-120). There are only 6 runners , James Davies takes the ride. He is on good form at home and we look forward to a good run.
Then we have Give Him Time who runs in the 3:05 Huntingdon17 FEB 2019
RTV 2m (1m7f171y) MansionBet Handicap Hurdle (Div II) (Class 4) (4yo+ 0-105), he will also be ridden by James Davies , he has been a frustrating horse who on many occasions has left us scratching our heads. We are looking for a positive run from him.
Last but not least we have “Canyouringmeback” in the 3:35 Huntingdon17 FEB 2019 RTV
2m4f (2m3f189y) MansionBet Handicap Chase (Class 4) (5yo+ 0-110), he will also be ridden by James Davies. He won two races in the summer last year and then went up a lot in the handicap and he has struggled a bit since, so we look forward to seeing the old “Sparky” again with a positive run.
