Today we have one runner “Snowy Oscar” in the  3:40Fontwell11 DEC 2018ATR 2m1½f (2m1f162y) John And Maryanne Birch Memorial Handicap Hurdle (Class 5) (3yo+ 0-100).  There are 13 runners.  This is Snowy Oscars last chance with his current owner, he is a bit of an enigma.  At home he works like a 125/30 horse.  When we first got going with him his nick name was “The Machine”.  However he has yet to show anything on the track.  He is a very buzzy/nervous horse.  Last time he ran he had a net on and a hood to keep him calm.  He went from one extreme to the other and never even picked the bridle up.  Leighton Aspell rode him and said for his next run take everything off.  So today he will run in only a tongue tie, because his wind could be the issue ( especially on a buzzy horse that tends to do everything on one breath).  He has run in a tongue tie once before and it was one of his better runs.

He is by Oscar and has a  lovely pedigree.  We just hope we can get to the bottom of him.  So today needless to say will be to get round and show an improvement.  Leighton is riding him again , which is so vital as he can make a comparison and see if we are making headway.

So fingers crossed for a positive run !!
