Not much rain today which made a nice change.  A bit of a crazy start with the three runners in the first race a 1mile7 maiden hurdle at Plumpton.  Paddy’s Poem ran a cracker and had no problem with the ground, he settled well in front and just got beaten by a very smart flat bred French horse.  Paddy’s Poem is a future chaser and a horse with a very bright future.  Can’t wait to see him run again and in time as he gets stronger , he will get further and fences.  He finished a brilliant second and all connections are thrilled .

“Canyouringmeback” jumped and travelled well throughout the race, he is very quick over his hurdles but he did not enjoy the ground as we thought might be the case.  He needed the run and certainly did not disgrace himself.  We will run him again and look for some better ground in the next few weeks.

“Market Court” found everything happened a bit too quick for him, especially after such a long lay off.    We just needed to start somewhere, he will certainly come on for the run and we will look for another race for him in a few weeks time, as long as he comes out of the race fine.  He is a huge chaser type who will want 3 miles and fences in time.

“Pupper Warrior” finished second again…….for the sixth time !!! Is he the most unlucky horse ever !!! he is so genuine,  Tom felt he did not really enjoy the ground and was not going as well as he did on his last run.  Th ground had just started to get a bit gluey /holding and his jumping was not as fluent because of this.  However bless his cotton socks for trying his best again.
