Today we have two runners at Huntingdon, where we are hoping the ground will not be too bad!

Cashanova runs in the 2m3½f (2m3f137y) FMCG “National Hunt” Novices’ Handicap Hurdle (Class 4) (4yo+ 0-105) and will be ridden by Mitchell Bastyan.  He ideally would want better ground , however it is the right race for him and he is so fresh and well at home he needs the run.  So we are just looking for a good positive run.

Then we have “The Mighty Don” running in the 3m1f (3m1f10y) Pertemps Network Group Handicap Hurdle (Series Qualifier) (Class 2) (5yo+), this is a hot race to qualifier for the “Pertemps final ” at Cheltenham in March.  He would need to finish in the first six to qualify .  He would also need to go up a few pounds.  Leighton Aspell will be riding him, it is a step up in trip and hopefully he will cope with that and the ground.  Fingers crossed he will run a big race. ” Tina Cook ” Nick’s sister has done a lot of work with “The Mighty Don” in the school with poles and jumps and also out on the gallops and the downs to help strengthen him up.  He is a stunning individual and is getting stronger all the time , but we have taken our time with him.

The pictures of the Chestnut are of “The Mighty Don” at Ascot and the bay is “Cashanova”  Our head lad Andrew Tony Veale will be leading them up.
