22nd December Stable News

Today was a great days racing at Ascot, where we had three runners.  Puppet Warrior ran in the first race ridden by Leighton.  His run was to bad to be true and we can put a line through it.  It may be that right hand tracks don’t suit him.  One thing we do know is he is a lot better than he showed today, having never been out of the first three previously .

Then in the 3.05 we had “The Mighty Don” who ran in the 2 mile 5 Mitie Conditional Jockeys’ Handicap Hurdle.  He ran a cracking race, he certainly appreciated the ground following the horrendous ground he had for his last run at Cheltenham.  He jumped a lot better and definitely will get even better as he gets stronger.  He finished a brilliant second and was ridden by Mitchell Bastyan.  He is a horse that we believe will appreciate the Spring ground as he is still maturing.

In the last race we had the JP McManus owned “Didtheyleaveuoutto” who was ridden by Barry Geragthy in the St Andrews Holdings Championship Standard Open National Hunt Flat Race (Listed Race).  This was a very hot bumper with some very promising youngsters in it.  He won nicely and  was very impressive to watch and we are very excited for his future.  Barry and AP loved him .  So a great day all in all.

Tomorrow we have ” Theos Charm “running in the 2mile 3 handicap chase, this is a slight step down in trip for him.  Leighton Aspell takes the ride, it is a competitive handicap.  Ideally it would be a furlong or so longer, but he is on great form and we are hoping for another solid “Theos Charm” run.
