So a very wet soggy Sunday and we had two runners at Fontwell.

Snow Oscar was our first runner and  ran in the Call Star Sports On 08000 521321 Novices’ Hurdle(Class 4) (4yo+) (2m1f162yds) 2m1½f Heavy  ridden by Nick Schofield.   He is a stunning 5 year old gelding by Oscar owned my Michael O’Shea.  He was very unlucky to fall, it was very hard going and Nick said he absolutely hated the ground.  He is an extremely nervous/buzzy horse that needs to learn to settle.  He has taken a long time to settle at home and we do think a lot of him.  He needs to learn the game, learn to breath and settle.  At the moment he does everything in one breath.  He is a gorgeous horse with a promising future, but it will take time,  before we see get to see the best of him.

Our second horse was “Theo’s Charm”  who ran in the “Marigold Somerset At 90” Handicap Hurdle(Class 3) (0-140, 4yo+) (2m5f164yds) 2m5½f Heavy 11 hurdles, he is a stunning “Presenting” gelding also owned by Michael O’Shea.  He was ridden by James Bowan, who took 5 lbs of his back.  He ran an absolute cracker of a race considering he was top weight.  We had 11stone 7 and the winner had 10stone 7 , in that heavy ground.  So it was lovely to see Theo’s Charm happy again back over hurdles.

We are just having too many seconds , but at least they are running well.
