14th November – Stable News

Today we had one runner at Lindfield, “Glen Rocco”  having his first run after a long lay off.  He is a stunning 6 year old Chestnut gelding by Shirocco.   He previously won a P2P in Ireland and has had a year and a half off.  We were thrilled with his run, his jumping was a bit green early on, giving the first couple of jumps plenty of room , and he pulled quite hard,  but he ran a very very respectable first race.  Liam Treadwell took the ride and was thrilled with the feel that Glen Rocco gave him.  Glen Rocco finished 6th of 14 and just got a bit tired in the finish.  We look forward to seeing how he comes out of the race and looking for another race in a few weeks.  He is a big 16.2hh future chaser.  We look forward to seeing the best of him when he gets over fences, but he will run in a few more hurdles first for experience.  A lot to look forward to with this horse.  Our head lad Andrew Tony Veale led up Glen Rocco.
